This summer I purchased an embarrassing amount of horse show and beagle show award ribbons.
I just love the colorful rosette ribbons, and the older ones are extra special. The silky ribbon is soft and beautiful, slightly faded with time:
This horse must have been a doozy, because he deserved a five-ruffle rosette award ribbon:
Although I love the soft pink pastel ribbons, I appreciate the boldly colored ribbons too:
I took the simple ribbons without the rosettes and made a garland out of them:
Anything can be made into a garland these days:
On the back of the ribbons is a cardboard flap to write the winner's name. I slipped a length of vintage piping under the cardboard and hot glued it in place. It couldn't have been easier!
I've got a few of these ribbons for sale in my Etsy shop if you would like to buy some, or you can contact me for a custom mix at mitziscollectibles@comcast.net
I'm going to participate in a couple link parties this week, including Savvy Southern Style, Very Merry Vintage Style, {Primp}, Somewhat Simple, The Shabby Creek Cottage, The DIY Show Off
