For Show and Tell today I have this little packet of metal numeral tacks. What do you think these could be?
This second picture should explain things. They're called Acro Hold-Tite Numbering Tacks.
If you live in an older home like I do, you have to change the screen windows with the storm windows this time of year. It helps to have these little numbers tacked to the windows and window sills so you know which window goes where, otherwise the task becomes very tedious and confusing.
Instead of actually using these handy tacks on my windows like a sensible person, I plan to sell them in my antique mall booth or create something with them! I like the idea of Mr. Acro and his handy numbers, though, and will steal it and use a Sharpie marker for the same purpose.
You might come across some of these rattling around loose in a junk drawer or old coffee can at a sale somewhere, and now you'll know what they are! You might even like them enough to seek them out on eBay for a cool altered art/mixed media project. I can see the possibilities, can you?
