Recently I was excited to discover that two of my high school friends own an antiques shop in the happening city of Austin, Texas. Not only that, they sell at the big shows in the area such as Marburger, Round Top and the Country Living show. Check out their Facebook page for particulars such as address and hours before you visit Austin and "Like" them for me, OK? Tell John and Marc that Mitzi sent you!

My friend Georgianna Lane has been blogging longer than I, so you might know her already. But just in case you haven't discovered her fabulous site yet, today is your lucky day! Her photography will stop you in your tracks with its beauty. Every time I visit, I'm inspired to improve my photography skills. Georgianna also has an Etsy shop that should be perused.
I think Georgianna should have her own magazine, titled "Romantic Photography for Women" or something similar, that would encourage women to learn, improve, or simply appreciate the art of photography, and have told her so!
I'm thinking photography is going to be the up and coming hobby for both men and women. Everything is visual nowadays, when you think about it. We are constantly posting images on Facebook and pinning on Pinterest. Why not learn to take better photos that you can be proud of? I'll bet Georgianna would be a marvelous teacher, too....
Another wonderful friend I acquired via blogland is Jacqueline Lowe, whose blog So Cute It Hurts is original, refreshing and fun. You'll see what I mean when you pay her a visit. She has an Etsy shop too where she sells her adorable creations. The cupboard below is a miniature:
Here's another charming creation from Jacqueline:
I never thought I'd have friends all over the world, although I was given fair warning before I started blogging. Well, it's true! Wini Dougall from Melbourne, Australia was the first blogger from another hemisphere to reach out and welcome me when I started the e-class titled Blogging Your Way, and she has become a dear and supportive friend. She's a fascinating person, too. She's an artist who used to design fabrics. Visit her Art, Love and Joy blog to see her colorful works of art and lovely photography.
This is an example of Wini's digital art:
Another lovely creation that showcases Wini's preference for bold color:
I have more friends to brag about, but will save them for another time. Right now I'm on vacation in Naples, Florida, enjoying some time with my mom. I hope your summer has started off on a happy note!
