Many of you have seen these in antique shops or perhaps even remember seeing one in an old store if you are my age or older. They are called spike receipt holders, bill spikes, or bill holders, and their purpose was to hold the receipt after a sale was made. Can't you just picture one of these next to the cash register in this old general store?
Vintage office accessories are a fun collectible category that's gaining in popularity. It's time to think about Father's Day, and a vintage bill spike might be a good gift, and a useful one too. Dad can spear all of his little receipts and odd pieces of paper he needs to save instead of stuffing them in a drawer.
