I'm thankful for many things this year, and one of the very biggest things is my blog readers. I kind of covered that recently in My Big Time Gratitude Post, but if you missed it I want to make sure I take care of it here!
My little blog has readers all around the world now, which means that not all of you celebrate Thanksgiving. But I do, and I definitely need to send Happy Thanksgiving wishes to those of you readers that will be giving thanks today with family and friends. I hope your day is filled with love, gratitude and happiness!
These are a few postcards from my stash that I'd like to share. Some are a little more cheerful than others, and that's why I found them amusing.
This embossed card depicts a Tom Turkey with a fork and knife stuck in him, poor guy!
This card starts out OK, but the caption underneath is unnerving....
This card has a beautiful gold foil background that's hard to capture here:
I love the card below, but it has some damage in the lower left corner that would make it difficult to sell:
I bought all the fixins' for an entire Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. Today I'm cooking everything from scratch except the pumpkin pie, which I bought at the Grand Traverse Pie Company. We are only having four for dinner: Joe, Chauncey, Cheswick, and myself.
Gobble, gobble!
