I've followed some fantastic blogs via the Typepad Dashboard, my blogging platform, and Suzette Roberts is one of them. As time went by, we got to know each other bit by bit, and recently she asked me to share a post with her about friendship. I was so flattered, and my post is appearing on her blog today. I hope you'll visit and read my interview, and take the time to explore Suzette's other posts. Her blog is more of a general topic blog, covering so many wonderful and diverse things from delicious food to fashion, "one minute math" challenges to the work of talented artists.
Suzette recently found these "LOVE Letters" from My Sister's Suitcase and posted them on her blog:
So let me tell you a few things about Suzette. She's originally from Kingston, Jamaica, now of Ontario, Canada, and spent her younger years in Kingston then moved to Miami, Florida, where she achieved her greatest dreams. Sadly, her parents had bitterly divorced while the family lived in Jamaica, which left the family in turmoil. The move to Miami was a breath of fresh air for Suzette, and provided her with a good education, the foundation for a meaningful and happy life (those of us who live in countries that have so much may take our education for granted, so I am always impressed by folks who treasure their education so much).
What does Suzette do during her down time? I'll let her tell you in her own words: "These days I look forward to heading out away from the city and crave the tucked away, quiet rustic-ness of rural life, and riding horses. The space and natural landscape makes me soar in all ways possible. I love the alone time with the earth and feel refueled every time."
Another sweet discovery Suzette has made for her blog, perfect for Valentine's Day:

Isn't Suzette a delightful person? And one of the unexpected benefits of starting my blog was meeting wonderful people like Suzette and developing friendships with them. It's opened up a whole new world for me, and I'm truly grateful for it.
