I've been sorting through my rather large hoard/collection of costume jewelry and jewelry findings the past two weeks. In the process, I discovered quite a few items I forgot I had, which is always a pleasant surprise. One of them was an interesting brooch that I wanted to share today.
This large brooch resembles a scarab beetle, a common motif in ancient Egypt. Perhaps not the most glamorous or feminine item, but to me it's quite interesting:

Do you like the Egyptian revival look? I like it, but the 1920's is my favorite decade style-wise, so I've embraced just about everything popular during that era.
