Beautiful imagery is a great way to draw people in and get people looking at your flyer. The images should be of a high quality and visually impactful.
You can use a QR code as a CTA to encourage readers to find out more about your business, to get exclusive offers, or even to enter a contest. They’re easy to work seamlessly into your flyer design–just make sure to include a short description in case the QR code doesn’t work.
Instead of just selling, why not use the real estate on the flyer to teach the user something? Show them how your product works, give concrete tips—make it useful.
Sometimes going really dark can attract as much attention as bright colors. Black flyers is particularly effective for luxury brands or to communicate danger, horror or nighttime.
You don’t want to spend your money on a flyer that people will take one look at and then forget. What’s the specific action you want them to take? Do you want them to go to your store, download an app or attend an event? Make this clear! People shouldn’t have to guess.
Clichés aren’t always a bad thing! Using familiar flyer styles, colors and imagery will provide context and help customers understand what you’re about right away. Use obvious cues: blackboards and apples mean school; orchestras and script fonts equal classical music; postcards and stamps portray travel and so on.
