Flyers are one of the oldest, most foolproof advertising tools in the book. We’re used to receiving flyers everywhere: in our mail boxes, on the street, in stores and restaurants. But are flyers still effective in 2019/2020?
You don’t want to spend your money on a flyer that people will take one look at and then forget. What’s the specific action you want them to take? Do you want them to go to your store, download an app or attend an event? Make this clear! People shouldn’t have to guess.
Attract people’s attention with vibrant colors and lively designs. Go for a bold red background or use contrast to your advantage with a neon accent on a dark base. You can also use colors to reinforce your message, like greens and yellows for a health brand or primary colors for kids.
Don’t be afraid to pull at those heartstrings—even if they’re not directly relevant to the business, flyer design with cute images can help to grab attention and give people all the feels.
If you have multiple products you want to showcase–like a new product line or seasonal products–then a simple grid layout is a good way to approach your flyer design. That way, your products will be organized and easy to skim.
