Sometimes old is new. If you’re not down with the kids and in touch with the latest trends, why not choose a vintage flyer design that embraces the old days?
Instead of just selling, why not use the real estate on the flyer to teach the user something? Show them how your product works, give concrete tips—make it useful.
Linear is boring! Try putting your headings on an angle and play with your typography and imagery to make your flyer stand out from the crowd.
A well thought out, well-designed flyer should be:
~ Eye-catching–enough to make people stop and take an interest in reading it.
~ Targeted–the flyer needs to speak directly to the audience you’re targeting.
~ Informative–people should know what the flyer is advertising and where they can find out more.
~ Convincing–the flyer should get people excited about your product, service or event.
When designing your product flyer, think about the personality you want to communicate. Is your business fun and easygoing? Is it reliable? Is it innovative, or more traditional? Since flyers are such an instantaneous marketing material you need to make an impression on potential customers, and fast.
You don’t need to go overboard and stuff the flyer full of every ounce of information you have available. Decide on one key message and then focus on that. Minimalist designs with a lot of space can really help to focus attention on what matters.
