Sometimes going really dark can attract as much attention as bright colors. Black flyers is particularly effective for luxury brands or to communicate danger, horror or nighttime.
A well thought out, well-designed flyer should be:
~ Eye-catching–enough to make people stop and take an interest in reading it.
~ Targeted–the flyer needs to speak directly to the audience you’re targeting.
~ Informative–people should know what the flyer is advertising and where they can find out more.
~ Convincing–the flyer should get people excited about your product, service or event.
Don’t be afraid to pull at those heartstrings—even if they’re not directly relevant to the business, flyer design with cute images can help to grab attention and give people all the feels.
Include patterns, put a frame around the content or use graphics and type in an unexpected way. A clever bit of flyer design or an element of surprise will help to draw the customer in to see what you have to say.
