Color however you feel is best. You can experiment with different designs, colors, and patterns, or keep it simple depending on what works for you.
Choose a coloring book that appeals to you. There are countless coloring books created specifically for kids, so finding one that suits your interests or mood should not be too difficult.
Note that you are not necessarily limited to actual coloring books, as there are many printable coloring pages designed for adults are available online, many of which are free.
Print the image as a full page to give your child plenty of space to color. If you’re given the option to choose what size the image will be printed as, select “full page.” Click “print” again to print out the picture.
Vary your strokes to add depth to your drawing. Crosshatching is a popular and fairly simple way to create depth using variation in strokes. Crosshatching is done by drawing overlapping sets of lines at right angles (this pattern should look mesh-like).
Don’t worry if your child colors in the animal figures in a way that doesn’t seem realistic. Kids can sometimes make “incorrect” or weird coloring choices, but they often have their own reasons for doing so.
